A masterpiece in Figured Eucalyptus veneer: WOOD by @eponimo.it

Wood is a family of 4-legged tables, low tables and side tables made of MDF covered with blue stained eucalyptus veneer. Through a simple trick the table appears sculpted from a solid block. The 5 structural elements – 4 portals and the top – feature an angled edge that once the table is assembled generates a reveal line between the various planes which in turn creates the sculptural illusion. The four lateral elements, once they are fastened to the top, become structural without the need for additional parts that would in turn compromise the sculptural effect of the piece.

The table top is 70 cm wide, like a classic fratina, the classic long dining table of monasteries. This choice of proportions privileges length over width, thus slendering the table and increasing the proximity and the initimacy of diners.  The original design combined with the use of blue Eucalyptus veneer make WOOD absolutely unique and innovative.

The Eucalyptus of TABU is a highly sustainable wood species with remarkable aesthetic qualities, above all thanks to its three-dimensionality, a gift of Nature that makes it very precious.
