FSC® CERTIFICATION

Since 2003 TABU has been joining the FSC® certification, creating an internal traceability system.
The Forest Stewardship Council® promotes the FSC® mark with the purpose to identify and label all products containing wood originally coming from well managed and reliably treated forests whilst following strict environmental, social and economic standards. FSC® is an international, independent and nonprofitmaking NGO that includes among its members: environmentalist and social groups, indigenous communities, forestal landholders, companies that trade and deal with wood, scientists and technicians. Its aim is to improve the management of the forests all over the world.

It is an internationally recognised Quality Management System standard that promotes customer satisfaction through continual improvement of our system’s effectiveness.

CE MARKING

TABU wooden floors are produced according to CE marking requirements.

BIO2®

is the collection of TABU veneers made with FSC® certified woods through a dyeing system that does not require any synthetic dyes.
This technological goal, obtained by the continuous Tabu research, has allowed to industrialize a product to satisfy all the trends of interior design that were looking for “smoke” tones such as grey and brown tonalities so as to further reduce the environmental impact. BIO² also offers consistent color matching across different batches whilst still showcasing the natural beauty of wood.

ECOZERO®

The ECOZERO® collection, fundamental result of a careful research provides for production methods that are and more respectful of health and of environment.
New Tabu Ecozero wood veneers, protected by industrial patents, certify sustainability and non-toxicity since they are manufactured using FSC® 100% wood and formaldehyde-free glues. The new Ecozero collection is perfectly suitable for any interior decoration use and it meets the standards of the LEED certification for the environmentally sustainable construction (“green” constructions).
